entering the 3rd week.
last week, everyday is pretty much the same.
pre-trip inspection, air break test, road driving , then off-set backing and 90 backing. Not entirely in that order.
We begin taking are CDL test this week. We still have almost 30 students so AAA school have spaced out our testing into the 4th week. Which I personally believe is good idea, *if you can pass your CDL after you 14 day waiting period is up (mandatory for PENNDOT) you can test if a Testing trainers is available..
AAA has two authorized testers on site, So you don't have to leave the school to test for your CDL
AAA instructors so far have been pretty decent at training the class to pre pare for the PennDOT CDL test. Just for the record, AAA is contracted by CRengland only to train us on the basics in order for us to pass the CDL< the phase1 and phase 2 of training with a actually CRengland trainer will cover the rest. * 5th wheel slide, tandem slide, parallel parking, scales, logbook, qualcomm, ect. ..
CRengland $9000 cost is also covering your transportation (if they paid for it) Hotel cost, 87$ , fuel, ect. all the other nickel and dime ####. That full fee does not apply to everybody, that is just the Max they can sue you for.
During your phase 1 /2 you can buy yourself out for a minimum of 2,400. Which I know a few student in my class have already said they were going to do, since they have taken job offers with other companies. I personally will honor my contact, * experience
----------------------------------------------------
The Hotel -Howard Johnson is disgusting/ Several students have had issue with bedbugs. Apparently they just move you to a new room and fumigate the old one. I was told that CRengland was aware of the problem since this has been a on going issue. But I believe as I was told in "hear say" that hotel blames the students ( I can see why, considerer some of the students are at rock bottom) , CRengland blames the hotel ( again I can see why on that issue as well- House keeping never changed my sheets , never cleaned the bathroom, never vacuum the entire room, among other issues until I complained )...
But all in all , AAA school is fun, good trainers, good people.

Go in with the mindset of doing one or two years and then move on.

This is trucking.
You might ride with, by far, some of the weirdest mofo's you will ever meet in your life. To say nothing of the hygiene issue.

"AAA has two authorized testers on site,"
does this scare anybody else but me? i mean i think i remember swift doing this as well as others, but what a scam.
lets see, england pays us to train you, england expects you to pass. for us to keep the england contract lots of people have to pass... hmmmmmm
I'm NOT trying to slam the OP. The way he's written and everything, seems to have a good head on his shoulders and will probably turn out to be a good Hand. Just the set up seems a bit...sketchy...rachi Thanks this. -
I think $9k for driving school is crazy! We paid that for both of us. We could have gone elsewhere and saved 2k but we wanted to go where the school was highly recommended.
