Was told to get a permit to keep my strobe lights on top of my truck in GA when not hauling oversize. What's the technical name of this permit? Is it annual or monthly? How much does it cost? Do any other states require it? I haven't hauled OD yet, just getting ducks in a row

    Thanjs

I did Google it, but if I don't know what I am talking about how do I know what I'm looking for? Sorry that I'm new to the OD world and would like to make myself legal before rolling. I'm guessing you've never asked for help understanding something you wanted to clarify. Google is always right, lesson learned. I'm sorry to waste your time.

I don't post questions in here much because everyone has millions of miles doing flatbed more than me and usually get a smart remark. I'm a young man, with a wife and daughter trying to feed them through trucking rather than wearing a United States Army uniform as before. Give me a break for trying to be legal 100% and not being a "screw it it Will be okay driver." Like many of the young truckers around us.

No worries that's part of what the forums are for is to share information.

If it wasn't for google, some drivers wouldn't be half as smart as they think they are......

Until 12ft? I just came through there a few days ago at 10'6" and my permit said amber light required for entire route, or a escort. 2nd line down after Special Circumstances image.jpg

They required the amber light because you were over 75ft. But, the amber light takes the place of an escort.
