They used to be based in NY, around Poughkeepsie...Good outfit to work for back in the 80's, low turn-over, flat-bed work...They used to haul a lot of Apples and also Gypsum out of Haverstraw, same as LJ Kennedy.....Don't know about now though, that was a long time back....

Haven't ever heard much bad about them, talked to several O/O's as well as company drivers there and they seemed busy and reasonably content.

Ditto what Ruthless said. Worked there from '97 till 2010. If you work hard, keep the driver's door shut and don't mind NYC, Philly, Baltimore metro area trucking you will make money!

You still running the horse down there?
I heard it ain't lafarge anymore? And I had some broker out of Iowa (tmc broker?) was calling me trying to move loads out of there to the island. What's up with that? They letting outside carriers run up in there now?

Yup! Still runnin' around in circles down there. Continental Building Products is the latest owner.
Worldwide Integrated Supply Solutions has been brokering a few loads to the NY metro area. Basically happens when the house carriers can't handle the amount of loads going down there. That led to CLT coming in a bit too! That's a whole 'nother adventure there!

We don't touch their trailers. The all live load when they pickup here. Now the some of their drivers on the other hand are, to be kind, not the most professional you will ever see! It does, however, provide some "free entertainment" at times!
