    wow that was the only t/s on the island ...they really don't like truck out here...don't think ill be back

    In response to OrangePicker, you are right. If cities or states do not want us there to fuel, eat or park we should just stop making any deliveries to them. Let them drive to the next town for what they need. And just like Rhode Island that wants to charge trucks only tolls on travel their highways, make no deliveries, purchases and just go around the smallest "bump" in America. There are other ways to get further north than Rhode Island.

    Property taxes are stupid high out on Long Island folks! A truck stop would have to charge super high prices for services so you probably wouldn't go there anyway.

    Either that or the rest areas on the Thruway (I-87) near Sloatsburg or on I-95 in Connecticut. That part of New York State(and New Jersey for that matter) never was known to be truck friendly.
