I'm with Walmart straight talk. I run southeastern and I ALWAYS have top notch service. Verizon is pretty good as well, but a bit expensive.

As far as "pilot wifi" don't waste your money it will not work 2feet from building. Invest in a mobile hotspot

Best service is Verizon but it is way expensive. I have ATT and I have service in most places. I know that the Pilot wifi is horrible and slow way to slow for skype but with a good phone with 4g you can skype all the time. I use google hangouts with my wife almost nightly and its good.

I don't get the pilot WiFi complaints. I only do at pilot out flying j and hardly ever have problems. I use the xfinity app or website everyday to catch the local news wherever in at. I'm watching the xfinity NASCAR race right now on pilot WiFi, will watch the Daytona 500 tomorrow. Heck, I'm posting this on pilot wifi while watching the race from my laptop on my tv with an HDMI cable, have raceview running in a window on the laptop and using the xm app to listen to their broadcast.
