Medical Card problem

    I'm supposed to be heading to school tomorrow and I'm hoping I'm not sent packing straight away.

    Got my medical card at the beginning of the month. The place where it was done checked the NO box beside CDL for some reason. Got the permit last week and nobody at DOT said anything to me about it. They gave me a letter stapled to the back of my KTA "acknowledging receipt of my CDL medical" blah blah blah

    A woman from the school contacted me on Friday to go over my paperwork and discovered the flaw on the form. However the recruiter (different person) says the medical shows up fine.

    I tried to get a replacement/corrected form from the place who did the physical but the doctor wasn't there and they aren't allowed to reprint the document. After alot of ranting and raving they agreed to print out a blank sheet and fill out the form by hand. When they did that they checked off INTERSTATE NO.

    Bottom line I now have 2 med cert forms and both are wrong. The whole thing is a mess. So what are the chances I get tossed on day 1?

    They may just send you for another DOT...or you can go to another DR and get one quickly....

    Why would they check yes if you don't have a CDL?. Maybe the reason the DMV didn't say anything about it is because they know you don't have a CDL,

    They asked me several times why I was getting the medical. For a hundred bucks the least they could do is fill out the paperwork correctly.

    What does the form actually say?. If it asks whether you are a CDL holder then they checked the correct box. If it asks whether you intend to get a CDL then by all means raise hell with them.

    I don't have my form with me so I can't check myself.

    I don't think it matters. When I got my med card I didn't have a CDL. It doesn't have the CDL box checked. I needed it for driving over 10k trucks across state lines.

    Used the card when I got my CDL and they didn't say anything and I don't plan on getting a new card until it expires in a few months.

    If you are younger than 21 it might automatically be "no interstate". If you are over 21 then they are messing you up. Or you may have filled out the questionnaire incorrectly when they asked if you intend to do interstate or intrastate.

    I recently had that exact problem. It was my mistake on the paperwork, tho. I had a chauffeur's license for just a few months, so I was reinstating my CDL. I called the clinic where I had it done as soon as I could get ahold of them, and they fixed it, no problems. Saved me another $70.

    DO YOUR OWN DOT PHYSICAL No one will know as long as you don't have an accident that kills or injures someone,,,If a cop calls the doctors office to find out if the physical card is liget the doctors can not give out any patient info because of privacy laws...forms are on line,,,

    Nope you can't do this anymore. The FMCSA has a database set up. Also please don't make posts advising people to violate FMCSA rules.
