Driving offenses are treated differently then criminal code offenses.

It's the same in Washington, around where I live we had a Sheriffs Sgt get contacted by some city police officers in the parking lot of a mall acting drunk but his keys not in ignition, they gave him a pass.

An hour later they get a call that this sheriff sgt drove drunk, they go to his house and his car is parked in the driveway with him in it. Keys not in ignition. He wasn't arrested.

The police chief justified their actions on the idea that they don't prosecute DUI if the officer doesn't witness it

Didn't make any since not to arrest this driver I would think all the witnesses would have been enough to take him away.I would say that God he was only doing five mph.A fast speed would have been alot worse.

I do not understand why you made that comment to me, all I said was, "Very dangerous driver, fortunate that no one got hurt of killed."

And I am happy "No One Got Killed."

And more than likely when he first went to sleep, he was going faster.

That looks like a normal Fed Ex road test to me.

Just talking so to speak there is no need to get offended.I'm saying had he was driving say 70 mph he probably would have hit an object died on impact and he probably would have taken others with him.5 miles per hr was alot easier to stop.in this case no-one was hurt and no accidects like so many times when cruisen at a high rate Of speed while impaired Of course falling asleep behind the wheel is very dangerous and hope this FedEx driver gets fired,he makes the entire industry look bad..Don't misunderstand my last post,in not saying FedEx is any better just because he wears a uniform and certainly Not defending him.
