I bought a 99 Kenworth w900 in December. It had around 15k on a new clutch. Last week while in reverse backing into a dock, I pressed the clutch to ease into dock and with pedal on the floor it was still pulling a little. Also after it did this the pedal had half its travel of free play. Couldn't find any linkage problem, adjusted clutch to 1 1/2" pedal free play. Now it acts dif every other time you use it. Going down the road the pedal will have very little free play. Get in some stop lights and it will go from little free play to 3 inches. Also occasionally with pedal on floor and in gear you can feel it pulling a little. Any ideas??

Seen that happen once where the lever that attaches to the cross shaft was loose and slipping. The pinch bolt holding the lever to the cross shaft had loosend up and was gripping the shaft at different positions each time the pedal was pressed. You should see that lever on the LH side of the transmission bellhousing. Pretty easy to spot, its pretty big and the clutch linkage is attached to it.
