From Company driver to L/P

Lesson learned . Company driver your vacation is paid. LP/OO, you have to save up for those days. Got last weeks check in the red. Thank goodness it was not a major bill week.

But its all good we're 2800 to the +this week and still have more to do.

 

Hi all sorta got busy at home. We're out of red in one check. Hubby up north running and headed back to Mi now to get door fixed right finally we hope for good. Been slow weekend and he is getting loaner to make one delivery while truck is worked on. All good on home front just too dam cold. Stay safe and warm all.

 

Sorry all I have been busy. Farm life takes a lot. Hubby has been running like mad. He had to refuse load going to CA. His truck and all the company trucks are not compliant. On top of which if he got fined he would have to pay the thousand dollar fine. Company will not pay it we know that for fact.

It is amazing this company is still running with some things like the above going on. But its a means to an end for hubby so he will just truck on. Since he has done the whole mega carrier thing it gets him a bit. But then he remembers why he left. He was running when his friends from old work were not. Things are not perfect but he is making money and we are paying our bills.

Truthfully the most irritating thing is the shop. But it was not perfect at last place either but they did do work. This one is a whole nother ball of wax. Poor mechanics are not paid enough when they are good and make the effort to improve. They just lost 3 good one 2 who got their certification. Shame really and not needed.

But on good note hubby is getting stuff fixed. He just had to really fight for it. He is now headed down to Fl once again. Average 2600 miles a week for him. But he asked for it also. He is not happy sitting around. He likes lots of miles more the better. He stopped by for the night and was off again in the morning. No worries just working.☺
