Fuel receipt once every 2 days. No tolls around these parts. No ez pass. Cash transaction. .good luck with cell phone.

Scale will have your picture if they really wanted to get into it. Heck you might be on YouTube somewhere they might find a video with a timestamp you never even knew existed. It's not being paranoid but it's just easier to play by the rules and only coloring outside the lines when absolutely necessary. They can get your cell phone easily. Your loyalty points cards? Redeemed a shower? Gotya!

The ECM chassis computer in a volvo knows if you just bump the steering wheel when you should be in the sleeper. The FMCSA is going have a feild day with unlimited possibilities.
Let's face it. It's not a perfect world. But don't tell that to a computer. It is fearless in adverse whether, it sees no mountains or bumper to bumper Atlanta traffic . So it's turned into black and white, go or no-go with ZERO tollarance, whoever has the most luck fewest cities gets the most miles across the board no matter what you drive ,how ever heavy or type ,castrated or slow .
The mega fleets learned a lesson about 20 years ago by watching a company I'll refer to as CRIME...
CRIME tried to put the speed of a responsible small fleet into a cookie cutter mega fleet. Ended up with CRIME drivers acting like complete fools known for tailgaiting radio Rambos on dry roads and 80mph plows cleaning out miles of Wyoming median in the winter. They quickly found that the speed and efficiently like Monfort of Colorado could not be bottled and mass duplicated .
JB hunt dominated the market through sheer numbers of 58mph stripped down Cabovers and Swift was on the move "lol"out west buying up companies and using the gear fast run slow theory "3.55 9sp. Derated 350 Cummins 55mph" to dramatically lower fuel costs but became a moving Road block worse than it is today.
Everyone had a niche. But customer service was king , still got the best freight and had the ability to hold onto their lanes for years .That natually came from those small non union fleets entrenched into an area of shippers that didn't fit on a pinhead. They didn't want to super-size... that's for publicly traded companies with tons of investors cash to burn when 100s of units sit idle.
Werner served up a solution by "volunteering ? Lol" testing elogs I guess all on their own ? I'm sure it had nothing to do with the bankruptcy ...lol. yeah, they didn't admit to flawed and even false results till years later. But I guess if Werner didn't do it Qualcomm would have waved cash around till somebody else did.
Frankensteins monster unfortunately tells when you speed. So how long will it be before a ticket by mail is initiated by that faithfull carboned up def guzzling truck you pay for?????rank and rocknroll81 Thank this. -
Closed Kansas scale ramp snapped 2 pictures of me 3am in the morning.right in my eyes like a red light camera . Guess I'll see what comes in the mailrank Thanks this.

Yeah, those Raytheon red eyes at the beginning scale ramps are not sleeping. Plate scanners are everywhere now too. But as long as they use it for SAFETY and you're not doing anything wrong. .... ugh.rank Thanks this.

Well hopefully nothing, but if an audit comes your way then maybe. I was pulled in on SB 75 in London KY for a level 3, when I walked in they had about 4 pics of me on there exit ramp on there computer all enlarged, well at least I know now how ugly a Cascadia looks pulling into a chicken house.basketcase64 Thanks this.

didn't even think about the cell phone. Maybe if you turned it off they couldn't track it. Here I was thinking I was all sneaky paying cash for Burger King and the shower last time I had to push my luck a little bit. Cell phone would tattle on you just as easy as anything else would. Yesteryear you had plausible deniability before GPS was in everything and everything kept an electronic paper trail. Nowadays you just have to say a Hail Mary nobody looks your direction and hope nothing bad happens when your're outside your legal hours.

Hey, they can track your every move right up till the point that you get blamed for the biggest terrorist attack in known history , then you can run around with your hair on fire for a decade and nobody pays attention.
