I wouldn't even worry about it.your company would have said something by now.

You are probably right; however, I work for a very large corporation that may do another background when I try to get promoted. I am not sure if they will or wont and no one can seem to tell me.
-
thank you brother
-
What type of promotion may you be receiving?

I am looking to enter the mngt training program. I have to be accepted to the program (references from my bosses, give presentations, etc). No one can tell me if they will be re-running my backgrounds for sure. I hope to move into a Delivery Supervisor role somewhere once the program and training is complete (provided I am accepted and nothing holds me back).

Does the company give you two weeks notice that you're going to get fired? It may be the honorable thing to do at other companies but I believe that trucking companies are different. What I believe is honorable is to tell the company there's other drivers that are waiting for this position and you don't have to have the truck sit. If you do I will try to work with you on keeping the truck rolling.
Funny, Most gasoline companies that when you tell the company you want to leave in two weeks they let you go on the spot. They do this because they are worried that you will not have your head in the game and something could happen. -
No, they do not ...
When your leaving one driving job for another, your not going to risk ruining your career by not having your head in the game...I hope anyway. -
When the job is critical like hauling gasoline I believe that the drivers that are leaving just do not have the concentration that is needed. Not as the same level as if they were going to stay. I'm sure the driver is thinking of the new job or adventure he or she is about to have. I would, I just wouldn't care all that much for the company. It's humane nature,timd1978 Thanks this.
