Big G caught my attention when Kerry Knight, the Executive Vice President (who, in my opinion, looks like he should be a magician with his strange goatie) popped up in my Facebook news feed.

He was advertising that the Majority of its drivers average only $54,200. Only 61drivers made over $60k and only 206 made over $50k. With 491 power units listed on

It would seem almost half of thier drivers make less than $50k. Possibly even more than half if the 61 that made over 60k are counted as part of the 206 over $50k. To be fair, he did preface the statement that this was only drivers that worked a full year.

They would have to have one hell of a BBQ or 3 for me to cough up the $18k more I make where I'm at. That picnic I'm sure would be fun though, they have a lot of odd looking drivers on thier Facebook page.

With a title of Executive Vise President, at a company with less than 500 power units, that should be enough to tell you where the money goes in this employee owned company.

It wasn't that I didn't like Big G,I left to become an owner operator,if things go south with what I am doing now,Big G will be my first call,and they will be happy to have me back,so your assumption is incorrect

I sent you a PM explaining my.experience with BIG G. And just for the record I'm not putting down this company or it's employees. It just wasn't what I am looking for in a job driving a truck. I wish this Company and it's employees only the best.

Never understood why people criticize other people about what their earnings are. If they are happy with their lifestyle and pay bills and just generally happy. It must really suck to go through life and complain about other people being happy.
Then complain about the management team that appears to truly care about their employees and is successful.

Barr Nunn is out of Iowa. If you live in TN near Memphis or Nashville you too could be making close to what I make. 18 day out fleet starts at 53cpm + band pay now I believe. The home most weekends fleet starts around 47cpm. Tough to get home every weekend to TN consistently for us though. Living in CT doesn't get me anything extra.✌

It did for 8 years previously, and before you ask the reason I left before is I completely got out of the trucking industry for 2 years. Also if Big G would have offered owner operators I would have stayed.

I write down the mileage each day that my qualcomm shows. Essentially hub miles. These are my #s for my 1st full 6 months:

September 12,048.4

October. 12,635.9

November. 11,953.7

December. 12,051.3

January. 9,582.9

February. 12,941.1

Hub miles total (71,213.3) for a monthly average of (11,868.8). 8)

Paid miles total (69,679) for a monthly average of (11,613.1).

Unpaid miles total (1,534.3) for a monthly average of (255.7).
