Go out and look for the same engine truck and try to find one with lots of miles on it. They don't exist.

    Gokiddogo,

I looked into that before i bought it. I did speak with a carrier who has four today and they gave some good information. TRying to get any info that is out there from people who have them. Not easy finding people who do.

Any information is helpful information, right now the information had is limited.

That's one of the first generation maxxforce engines....which ended up costing international a boat load of money because they performed so poorly... I wish you the best of luck.

    Okay,
I will most likely put this truck up for sale then. I appreciate the information regarding this. Trying to find anyone who has one or drove one from that year is all.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Curious as to what you paid for it?

Heavyd is the one to talk to..... Hopefully he will come around.

You said you got maintenance files? At 400k it's probably due for a inframe, egr and dpf work ?

I bet The previous owner was one happy camper when you placed the winning bid on your truck. Now the best thing to do would be to get rid of it.

Winning bid 6500.00. The valve adjustment I had done at international came back clean. The ECM had no error codes, oil sample was a 9.5 out of 10, and the company that put in auction and gave there maintenance history. They claim they lost a major account and downsized their fleet.

The problem with the maxx force of that year is the emissions .

Looking for people who have had them .... trying to get information prior to making a decision.

I've bought all my trucks through the auction cheap and they all have worked out pretty well. Better then buying retail.

    Elroythekid and rachi Thank this.
