Man this thread is on fire ... very good and useful info here. I just picked up a 2008 Freightliner cascadia with 700k miles on it 12k down payment, 38k purchase price. Inframe was done in September, there's new tires, brakes, compressor... I have about 9k in credit card reserves and 3k cash for any issues that may come up. I am leased on to a carrier based out of Illinois also and they pay 90% of the load. I live in Florida. This truck is in pretty good condition so the way I look at it is if I can run 2 straight months with no major issues other than pm's I have a pretty good chance of success. I still feel it's sort of a gamble but scared money don't make money
