You keep saying pulled any load they gave me.......Malone is set up like Landstar, pick your OWN loads, when I drove there I very rarely pulled anything that didn't pay $1.75 per mile. If you rely on them to find you freight you will fail and go broke, period.
My Final verdict of CRST Malone

I too wish you well in your endeavors. I have been to Subic Bay, PI and it was the hotest place on earth I had ever been. I love the Far Eastern culture. More respectful and more consideration for the other person than we typically have here. The harsh anti-drug policy of the far east is simply an attempt to scare the hell out of anyone thinking that there is any benefit. On my first deployment to Okinawa in 1980 they told us the Japanese police had a wand that could detect the presence of alcohol when inserted in a car. I don't know if it was true but the prospect of eating fish heads and rice in a foreign jail was enough to not be tempted to drink and drive over there.
The feedback in this post can be seen throughout other posts regarding lease/purchase from companies. CR England (who I started with in 2012) had this clause in their lease agreements that either party could terminate the lease for any reason. Many stories circulated about a driver getting to the end of his lease and CR England would terminate the lease for no apparent reason other than to not allow the driver to benefit then put the truck back into circulation to make money off the next poor sap.
One final piece of information. As a Veteran I believe there is a program administered by the Small Business Administration called a "Patriot" loan. The way it works is you develop a business plan and approach a bank and the government guarantees the loan, similar to a VA home loan. The bank, knowing the government is backing the loan gives you an interest rate slightly above prime rate. You do need a down payment and probably some cash as working capital but the interest rate is better than a regular commercial loan. I found out about this a couple of years ago and I apologize if something has changed since then. I looked into it myself but alas I did not have the down payment and did not have the working capital.Lone Ranger 13 and Lonesome Thank this. -
Yeah? No.
I had an airline connected to the gooseneck from the deck of my old RGN blow and lock up the front and middle axles (I had the third raised up thankfully) and just as soon as it took to go from 70 mph to the breakdown lane on the Interstate, flat spotted all 8 tires to where they were no longer safe to haul heavy loads on. Heck, I wouldn't have even used them for legal loads.
So yeah, know what you speak of.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Sound like somebody wanted to be an owner operator but run like a company driver and expect everybody else to do everything for him
88 Alpha, Mudguppy and runningman0661 Thank this. -
Thanks for sharing your story. Good luck. -
David...your first strike out of the gate was CRST. If after reading on forums or reviews of this company and most other megas....you have not figured out by now they all go for screwing the drivers...no one here can help you...no matter the detail of your rant.
thejackal Thanks this. -
I certainly don't buy it and never will. The horror stories here are too abundant.

I so agree with that tag line quote....
