A lot of cheating going on with E logs too
Diesel Dave, tinytim, LoneCowboy and 4 others Thank this. -
You mean you are immune to fearmongering and fire and brimstone sermons? See, what you need to do, hand, is be afraid, be very afraid. Be so afraid that you sell your largecar, get you a job at a big fleet pulling a box, and have every thing from dispatch sent through a Qualcomm. See, those big outfits have teams of lawyers that will protect you and that way, you don't have to be afraid.
You really need to learn to take what the Safetyman says as the gospel truth. -
Really? You think that just because someone gets hit by a drunk driver her lawyer can get records from the cell phone company for something that isn't directly related?
Don't believe everything you hear from your safety department. -
It's called a subpoena.
TROOPER to TRUCKER and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
Your naive if you dont think lawyers would want your cell phone records.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 6, 2016

Hogwash.
We're still using paper, and mine are ALWAYS legal. The risk is far too great.rocknroll81, americanmadetrucker and Lepton1 Thank this. -
A lawyer can get an "asset" profile on YOU to see if you have enough $$$ to make it worthwhile to sue. Yes LOOK AT YOUR PRIVATE FINANCIAL BANK ACCOUNTS/ASSETS TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU'RE WORTH.
They can legally access anything that would be considered evidence in a trial. Some of you guys amaze me. There are a lot of smart people on this site, but the dumb level is higher than expected.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 6, 2016

I posted this in the last thread we had on this subject. I'll post it here as well.

When a big truck is in an accident with any kind of injury involved, I guarantee that a civil lawsuit will be coming down the pike, and the opposing attorney WILL crawl up your rear end with a microscope to look for the slightest bit of evidence that you weren't where you were supposed to be at the time of said incident. Comparing phone records to your logs is only one example.
Paper logs are legally binding documents once signed by the driver, and are admissible in court.rocknroll81 and americanmadetrucker Thank this.
