Same here, right down to the dollar amount. Home nightly, 12 hour days, non union, and for the most part, 100 air mile radius and no log books. Left that one, moved to another one I'd been trying to get into for longer. But, they're out there, folks. Don't think the megas are the answer. They aren't. Short haul/LTL/private fleet jobs are much better income-wise.
My current gig is a private fleet for a Fortune 100 company. I occasionally have layovers, but only because they are absolute nazi's for HOS compliance and run e-logs and day-cabs. I run a 3-state radius with very occasional forays into a 4th. And, I expect to match last year's earnings, if not beat them.windsmith Thanks this. -
Same here, and we're paid extra for the layover. And we have a corporate card to pay for the hotel. No need for us to pay out of pocket and submit receipts for reimbursement.Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -

I am driving for a mega right now making $70k a year. It is a dedicated account with JB Hunt. I push hard a lot of times to get that money but I am also off on weekends at least and only drive in a couple states surrounding Texas.
