You're never going to avoid it though. You cannot physically go as fast as cars in many cases. The maximum truck speed I've seen in states that have splits is 65 and most larger fleets govern their trucks at that speed. Likely there will be a federal rule mandating governors before long.

Really if you're doing faster then 65 you're wasting fuel and I do not personally believe that level of speed in such a larger and heavier vehichle is even safe.

Can't comply with it either though. It's either let me stay ahead of the pack, or I'm doing at least 15 under, and so are they, I'll take anyone who's dumb enough to tailgate down with me.

When traffic hits the tipping point, they're all stuck in my slow lane too. It's like a mad max master blaster embargo out there.
:ogre: Two-hundred man enter, one man lead... or bust a deal, face the wheel. Same difference.

Maybe it will bleed south and infect California too.

It just seems to take forever to get into and out of California at 55 mph... Ugh.

    Only been to Oregon once.

You don't know the half of it, I think all vehicles, not just commercial should be governed at 65.

Fewer fatal accidents, lower fuel consumption, less vehicle pollution, less wear and tear on cars resulting in longer lasting components etc all sound like a real nightmare.....
