Yup ,and looks like he has air ride front axle . With air dumped all around . The fuel tanks are on the ground or very close . And rear wheels are on the fenders ...
Very nice. -
air is not a problem, but i wonder how did they move driveshaft upwards, how to make such offset? on european trucks driveshaft is placed much lower..... dont know if it is in US too? or they need some custom devices to move it up?

I remember those movies , the guy who produced and directed the movie was a teacher at a local school that my mother , wife and sisters attended. I never met him but they say he was a really funny teacher.
I really don't even remember the truck.
Looking at the picture I can say I also see some issues.
The steering axle looks like tubeless 22,5 inch and the rear 20 or 22 inch tube type.
Short bodies like that are common on 4x4 trucks here.
Iveco , Merc and MAN supply them.
3m (10 ,5 ft) load bodies are common from what I have seen.
In South Africa you hardly see 4x4 trucks except on military or utility companies that install power lines or telecom towers.
In Botswana they are more common.
In my opinion that truck was put together for the movie as it seems to be a 142 cb which was the premium long hall truck back then.98989 Thanks this. -
I don't know how they did the drive shaft.
-
In some parts of the world many find this attractive.
mp4694330 and daf105paccar Thank this. -
i took a picture of that truck a few months ago in north texas i think it was

Photoshop may have helped a little, would have to have cutouts in each crossmember to move it up that much, I would think u-joints would take a beating with odd angles.
-
If they used a Mack top loader rear that would be the perfect angle.
-
I don't think that is it because rear jack shaft is angled down like a standard rear.
