im looking for a sign on bonus trucking company to put in a job app with. does anyone know of any?

Well theres overspeed, which is tracked a s a bonus/performance raise metric, which you can really blow being on the pedal all the time to the floor. We have an allowed 5% per quarter . then there is excessive overspeed which is downhill over 70 for an extended period.

My guess would be new driver was being watched and didnt take his foot off the gas. AT ALL. Frankly surprised it took three times IF TRUE. "Being written up" is really a behavior modification contract called a CTE Which is Commitment To Excellence. Violate that and up to and including termination is the punishment.

 

It's free money. People don't stay long at most companies anyway, why not make and extra $2500. Or $5000, or $7500

well to me bonuses and paying for school are just like car deals
ad says $3500 for your trade in even if it doesnt run
just means that is how far it is marked up
so you get a signing bonus they just pay less cpm until bonus is pd
there is no free lunch

 

Sign on bonuses make me skittish.

 

Oh they can be ridiculous and SNI pays the biggest ones,I've seen, depending on how far underwater they are lol.

But the majority of the people even looking at SNI, are looking at similar companies which, in my experience, are all the same to a very close degree. In my area,we have 7 big training companies and a bazillion smaller one who don't pay much more than the big ones and advertise 10 year old trucks(but hey! You get to drive a Pete!) low pay and loose leaf logs. Or mention. That they have paper logs several times, and then when you look at their safestat scores, you see why.

SNI offered a big sign on,had identical pay to several other ones I looked. But they had the best safety record. I made easy money and I enjoyed my bonus. I know how run and will make money wherever I go. If someone want to throw $2500 or $5000 into my pocket, I won't complain

 

If I get $.42/mile 120000 miles is $50400
you get $.36/mile 120000 miles is $43200
you need a $7500 signing bonus to do better then me

 

What if I get $.39/mile, stop pay and unload pay for every load, and a $12,500 sign on/retention bonus?
