I live near Winter Haven, FL.

Got to be a bit flexible with home time as a Florida driver. My miles were low in January because they kept bouncing me back into Florida without outbound freight. Pulled freight just 20 days in January. 11 overall days at home and mostly not my choice. All the rest of the time has been solid. Normally I run 2 weeks but I ran 31 days straight to make up for January.

Florida is a secondary hiring area according to Karla in recruiting, the hiring area in Florida opens and closes according to demand, just call recruiting and ask Karla she will shoot you straight.

^^^This is accurate. -
^^^This is why I now have a different dispatcher. I was Twice told and I quote "I'm not going to sit a Tennessee or Kentucky driver in Florida". And prior to that, I was told a different January day @ 06:00, my PTA time, when I called in for a load that they didn't have anything. But 6 hrs later I'm asked/instructed to go to the truck stop and surrender my MT to a Tennessee driver. Anyway, I addressed the matter with Mr Knight and he on the spot changed me to a different dispatcher. Tow is a Tennessee driver not a Florida driver.
