Yes this was a cam activated by "hard braking" I was pulling an older trailer that there was a problem with the anti roll system. when you hit the brakes it would jerk from time to time this set off the cam.

I know people need to make a living, but this right here presents the case for walking from a company that installs driver facing cameras. If EVERY driver did this, there'd be no one to drive the trucks and the idea would soon find itself in the trash can of failed experiments. Until that happens (which it won't) we will be more and more micromanaged and babysat.

Well, I actually got a call this morning from the ops manager for my current company. He said they had a guy that was a vacation chaser that was suppose to go out on his own today. Well he quit them this weekend. Long story short, he asked If I'd be interested in the position if they could move the truck closer to my house. I'd be the only one on the truck and would primarily be running 4a-4p M-F with the occasional Saturday and I'd have to go to Indy and cover shifts out there from time to time. I told him I'd consider it, however I had an interview today I was going to attend. He encouraged me to do so and said we would move my last day back another week to see if we could come to a good arrangement to stay with my current company. So we will see.

The interview with new prospect company went very well. They expected me to be able to make 70k and control my weekends. Medical insurance is good and affordable. They have most of the same benefits as my previous job. It will be hard to pass up. I do want to give my current carrier a fair shot and see what they csn do. I am grateful to them for giving me a job when I was at a desperate point in my life. More to come...

Thank goodness two good options materialized just when you needed them. Best of luck to you whichever route you choose.G13Tomcat Thanks this.

What does that term mean? Never heard it before.

It thinks means that guy thinks he's on vacation on steam driving a truck. When I drive for Schneider in 2013, they had just fired a guy who had been with them for 3 weeks. The guy would just stop out of the blue and take 2 or 3 days off and leave the truck and go somewhere. The last run, he was supposed to go to long Beach and he parked the truck in an industrial area and went to Disneyland for 2 days....BEFORE. he delivered the load. Then he bobtailed back to Phoenix because he wanted to go home, because he was tired.

Vacation?? Not sure either... but I think I think it has something to do with the guys higher on the board not showing up for a week at a time...

I thought they took that time off to go to advanced steering wheel holder training class's, lesson one, proper atire. No closed toe shoes in class....
