I am thinking about making a career change and have always had a interest in becoming a trucker. Would anyone here know about any good schools in the San Diego area that would help me A in learning and B in finding a job after I am completed? Thank you for anyones help.

I agree with scottccal that these are the two schools in the San Diego Area. The Teamsters offer one also but you must be a member from what I have discovered.
United's tuition is $4300 and been in business since 1978.
Western's tuition is $3500 and been in business since 1977.
Teamsters school's tuition is $3000.
I see the tuition cost as nothing more than an investment in my future. What I am unsure of is the future as a professional driver. Wish I had a crystal ball but then no one else does either so no biggie. I do like the idea of being free to pick a company and many of them seem to offer some tuition reimbursement which would be helpful but not a necessity in my situation.
Any graduates of either school care to enlighten us with some feedback it would be most welcome? -

Johnhults here's your update sorry it took so long
United's tuition is $4300 (100.00 if you pay cash)
Western's tuition is $3500 For july special after that it goes up to
somewhere around $4300
so in that respect thier about the same
the two difference are
United is M-F all day anfd they have newer trucks
and Western truck are a little older but they do offer
M-F all day 4 weeks or M-F evening 8 weeks or
weekend's sat/sun 8 weeks to better fit someone schedule
if you are still working at the time you want to take the class.
If I was not working full time, I would go with United
but I'm working full time I think I going to go with Western
PS I went to both and they both seemed like great people. -
Going to Western was one of the best month's of my life. Had a blast!
scottccal Thanks this. -
Did you go to western in San Diego?
