I pay $110 for unlimited anywhere to/from canada and usa. Includes 2.5 gigs per month for Canada only. In USA I pay $5/day and it gives me unlimited talk/text also 100 mb of data (doesn't count on my 2.5gig). Shuts off if I use the 100 mb. Asks if I want another 100 mb for another $5. The service is very good across Canada and no problems in USA.

The only reason I keep paying the expensive Verizon on top of that is I like my Netflix and other general screwing around online as much as I want when in USA. It was much better when our money was stronger. Now, not so much.

Bring your toothbrush and PJs. Because once you're here, you may not want to go back.

Haven't you heard? Trump is going to build a wall with the Canadian border too, and the Canadians will pay for it. The purpose is to keep the Trump supporters in.

T-Mobile works well in Canada. All the OnRoute Service Plazas have payphones if your cell phone isn't working up there.

Make sure you bring cash to pay the border crossing fee into the U.S. I'm not sure if you can go inside to pay with debit or credit. I think it's now $13.05 or $13.75.

They've never checked to see if my truck is governed at 65 or the equivalent in kilometers per hour. How would they unless they went on a short ride-along?

The first time you cross be prepared for a thorough search of you and the truck. Not necessarily a strip search but they will pat you down and make you empty your pockets. No weapons. Not even pepper spray. They will search your electronic devices for evidence of illegal activities. I've been back ten times since then and have been sent through every time without a secondary inspection so far. The U.S. Customs has only stopped me once to X-ray and inspect a load of firewood and do a quick look inside the cab.

U.S debit cards work in ATM''s but my bank charges a $5 fee for the currency exchange on top of the ATM fees. The funny-looking plastic bills it gives you ARE real money. The Flying J and TA truck stops I've been to take US currency at a 2 or 3% exchange and give change in C$. I've gone up there without ever getting any Canadian money the whole time I was there.

And Tim Horton's and ketchup-flavored Lays are awesome. That''s all for now.

Then I may end up being an illegal alien... Oops... Sorry... Must be PC about it... Then I may end up being an "undocumented citizen"

Even if he puts in a nice big fancy door, I might not qualify as one allowed/desired back in... LOL

    :)

Buy all dressed chips by ruffles when you are here. I haven't found them in the USA anywhere and they're awesome.

As for the speed limiter, they check by plugging into your ecm.
