I see that pedigree has been begun sell off some 130 series trl's but they still have plenty of 27 series around. Starting to do research on trailers and just curious, I'm particularly wondering if the insulation technology in the articlite's last longer does anyone have any insight on this?
Why does prime keep the articlite's longer than the 3000r's

Utility trailers are basically bought by Prime for 2 reasons,
1. Wabash can't keep up with demand
2. Bargaining position. Wabash has to know that a big boy like Utility is just waiting to take the bulk of their business
That being said, it's much easier for Prime to liquidate the Utility trailers and keep a uniform trailer pool. Not to mention, that Wabash is (the way Prime specs them) is a superior trailer.darthanubis and redoctober83 Thank this. -
Curious, in learning what's superior about the wabash's?

I'm assuming he just has some sort of a brand loyalty thing with Wabash since he has no real reasons why he thinks they are the superior trailer.

Every new prime trailer I've seen has been a utility . In fact didn't they just order something like 3,000 utility trailers last year

Here it ishttp://www.ttnews.com/articles/basetemplate.aspx?storyid=36265. 2500 trailers largest order in US history I don't think they are just buying them to fill in for wabash
