Typical female. Going to make you shop for more dishes.
Will be interesting when she begins to shed as well.
On a side note, guessing more than a few visitors in this thread have dogs of their own. Check this site(link below) for pet food recalls & what ingredients are actually in the food you are buying. They are NOT sponsored by any large companies trying to sell you anything nor sell your email address.
More & more pet food co's are sourcing *some* of their ingredients via China & can still say Made in the US.
Other issues happen as well. So recalls are more frequent than what you may be aware of.

Thanks Brad, but man, reading though that, all the brands and the responses will make you head spin, I was feeding her Purina Puppy for large breeds, she likes it, has a nice coat and good stool, I did try Blue Buffalo products when I first got her, gave her the ####s terrible, I hate to keep on switching foods on her?
taxihacker66 and LBZ Thank this. -
Blue Buffalo has had some serious recall issues over the past few years. And in my opinion it'a not a good feed for double coated dogs (Malamutes, Akitas, and so on). One of the big players in feed has moved their operations back to the US, and as soon as I remember who, I'll let you know.
I feed Blue Seal Natural 26 toy Malamutes, and have yet to have an issue. Healthy eye, good coat, and solid bowel movements. Don't forget the importance of water, too. Once she's acclimated to one source of water, changing sources can cause problems. Try to carry locally sourced water for her on the road to avoid these problems if possible.Terry270, KANSAS TRANSIT and LBZ Thank this. -
Blue Buffalo is expensive & their bags are smaller. But my two liked it & did not cause the issues ya mentioned.
Though they were past puppy stage, so the mix is different. The important thing is just finding what works for the dog. If the dog is having an issue, it may be food related & can save a trip to the Vet via info from the site linked.
What I have learned over the years is to go to the local Farm stores for better foods at lower costs. Farm & Home, Big R, Tractor Supply etc.
Tractor Supply stocks Earthborn Holistic(made in IL) at the lowest price in my area. Sign up at E.H. for a monthly $3 coupon.
Taste of the Wild is less expensive at Farm & Home & they typically have a 10% off sale once a month. Wellness foods are excellent too. (side note: generally the better the food, the less @*#! to clean up in the yard
)
F&H, TS will let you bring your dog in with if on a leash like the pet stores if that matters to some. Not sure about Big R & the various others.Last edited: Mar 17, 2016

Their life source bits were from China. They did not want to fess up to it, but remember an article about that. Only fed one bag of that stuff a couple years ago. Didn't have an issue, but do not want to buy anymore.
Proctor & Gamble bought a lot of the big pet food brands over the years & ran them into the ground. Then sold them to Mars Inc a couple years ago. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mars-pgpetcare-acquisition-idUSBREA3811O20140409KANSAS TRANSIT and brsims Thank this.
