    I was wondering if there was a "CB for Dummies" book floating out there somewhere.

    What's the actual name if that BBC book? I might try to find the PDF version if possible.

    Unless that would be too far over this newbies head to be a starting point.

    Do a google search for the author, Lou Franklin.
    His books contain a wealth of knowledge on the subject of understanding cb radios. Some are more advanced than others.

    There are also dedicated forums on the internet to cb and ham radio. Alot of good info there too. You have to sift through the bs on some, but after you read awhile, its not that hard to decipher.

    Hard drive will make sure your radio does NOT operate properly. He IS the #1 hack around. Do you really want to wait 2-3 years to get your radio back and have it under performing where you would be lucky if you can talk 2 miles on it?
