i have accurride rims 22.5 i bought them brand new, i never used brightener nor acid on them just regular down soap for washing dishes, and i have to keep hand polishing them every two weeks cuz the rims start getting lil spots & my dad has alcoas and his polish shine lasts months. he washes them the same way i do .. I've noticed this also. I have Alcoa drives and Accuride steers and the accuride wheels will get discolored a lot faster than the Alcoa wheels. This is really noticeable in the winter, drive on some wet salty roads for a few miles and the steers will have white spots on them already and the drives will be perfect.
