I know that electronic logbooks will go into affect December 2017
Is the DEF also a requirement for all the trucks?

    lolno

I've been hearing rumours circulating among our drivers and staff that DEF is thankfully on it's way out as it's possibly being shown to be carcinogenic.

WTF does diesel exhaust fluid have to do with the DEC 2017 e-logs mandate??

DEF is just very diluted ammonia water....hardly carcenogenic. With current NOX emissions regs and the fact they'll get tighter, DEF certainly will not be going away.

I could see the fluid going away for something like those replaceable SCR filters that are being worked on, but in one form or another SCR is here to stay.

Get rid of egr, wastegates, vgt turbos and dpf. Maybe if we just had def that yellow motor might make a comeback

I for one will never buy a new product the yellow motor company produces. The last one I had almost broke me. No thank you.

The only bad ones were spd. Taken care of properly they can be almost as good as the old c-15

I think the yellow motors are being discontinued. I"m not sure if it's because of emissions or what. But seems like that was the story on landline now not too long ago.
