Nothing wrong with SQ's.Back in the day 75% of the screws out there were SQHD's.Good dependable reasonable gears.SSHD's for the big strappers.
-
What are SQHD's rated at? I know the SSHD's were 44k.

That's a good film. When I started out here in 80 it was mostly cab overs. Lot's of memories. That one lady sure had a humongous CB on her dash.rank Thanks this.

Cool old book. I love stuff like that. Definitely putting it on my search for old books list.MooneyBravo Thanks this. -
In November of '78 I ordered my first new truck. 359 Pete from the old Connell dealer in Stockton (I think they were one of the first Pete dealers). Truck was delivered in May '79 for $52,000. No excise tax then and post 121 brake fiasco.

First job was with... "pioneer transportation"
.... Our fleet of about 400 trucks was all white ford 9000s with coffin sleepers, but having a conventional was the cool thing, most companies had "cabin overs "
