I called Dispatch to let them know I was still at the dock after two hours, simply because those were the instructions I was given during orientation. Plus, detention was paid on my first load, too. The dispatcher gave me further instructions, followed by a series of questions from someone in either payroll or accounting (I can't remember, exactly). But, I would definitely call dispatch and ask what procedures to follow at this point.

Oh, almost forgot, detention time wound up being the total time there, minus two hours and the hour I spent there before my appointment time.

Well getting that warm and fuzzy feeling like i should be getting from magnum, submitted an app last Friday and then Friday afternoon chad called me told me he got it and would start processing it, and also that he will benout of town this week andnif i have any questions to contact matt who is filling in for him while he is gone, well i have left matt 3 voice mails since tuesday and hasnt called me back, i just spoke with Brittany in hr who process background checks and so fourth and said she hasnt started on mine becuase chad nor matt gave her the go ahead. So basically wasted a week now. Is this typical from tje front end staff at magnum

 

You will have to bear with them. We just lost a VERY big asset, our recruiter/driver liason passed on.

So with that being said people are stepping in to do jobs they normally don't do. Give them some time, they have very big shoes to fill!

 

Random question again. Since Magnum loves communication, if I want to inform them I'm still waiting for a door in Grand forks, would I reply to the load offer message which doesnt list anyone specific or send a message to the region dispatcher from the address list?
Of course since I haven't sent a departing shipper message, they probably already know it so there isn't much point.

 

You would send the Message to Nick let him know what's going on then once your loaded if your going to be late on the drop send him another one
