I see this type of reply too much. You're making the assumption that he's going to drive high. I enjoy drinks occasionally. That doesn't mean I'm going to drive drunk.

It still has more side effects than alchohol for longer.

Where's the data your getting this information from??? Last time I checked alcohol it the one that ruins your liver... Also lets not forget when was the last time you seen someone someone high that is abusive or belligerent and not replace high with drunk and see how many people you can count... Most high people are mellowed out...

People on here are sometimes too judgemental... I agree with @dwalto way to many negative replies here from both US and Canadian drivers... Weed is not the do all and end all kind of thing.. It's a natural plant and not a man made drug....

Also smoking pot will not last in your system for 8hrs or whatever... Not to mention what's the problem with doing on your time off... If your off at say 5pm Friday and don't go in until say 5am Monday there shouldn't be a problem... Even a weekday your not going back into work for 8-10hours after prior finish time.. 1 joint isn't going to kill you..

Too much boycotting here... If people are respectful and mature I don't see the issue.. It's not different then coming home and drinking 2-3 beers.. The key is to be responsible and mature... Those who are not shouldn't even have an CDL...

18 years driving G class and 13 of those 18yrs is A class.. No accidents and no effects on my life.. I have a excellent job, pay my bills, own my house and now starting to move into a management roll :) So here is your living proof !!!!

Never done a single drug in my life but I have lots of friends who have. They all say having 2 or 3 beers is way different than having a joint. They can get up and function the next day after drinking no problem. The weed is what made them feel all dopey an pretty much all my friends have quit now because of that.

My opinion is my opinion and I've never felt the need to do a single drug in my life because I value a good career that does drug test. Congrats if you like smoking your pot and say it doesn't effect you because that's what most pot heads say.

Called burn outs for a reason. Weed will mess with your brain chemistry and does infact have long term effects.

Weed will only mess with your brain if you're already stupid when you smoke it.

Very well said.. The point is, the stuff is becoming legal in more and more places across the board. In a matter of months we will be able to buy it from pharmacies (or possibly the liquor stores from what I hear).

See, someone who doesn't even know the difference between your and you're (even when an example is right in front of them) should not smoke MARAJANA!
