I know there are some out there but I can't seem to find one that doesn't want me to pay 20 bucks to take it. I didn't intend to get hazmat just because I don't like the extra red flag for DOT to look at me but once again I am sitting in a #### truck stop overnight with no load because I didn't have it.

Got empty at 7 this morning in KC mo and called up and asked for a load through Tulsa to pick up a few things at the terminal and get a tarp swapped out that won't stop tearing dead in the middle. I had to wait around till 2 to get my load that was a straight shot here to there on the other side of town. I get there and wouldn't you know, it's hazmat and the shipped declined to tell the company about it until I asked so I couldn't take it.

This isn't the first time it's happened to me so I figure I may as well go ahead and get the endorsement becuase hey, one of these days I want one of those cool fuel hauling jobs where I get paid to sit in my sleeper overnight anyways right :).

I just don't remember everything about it and reading the FMCSA book and the hazmat book is a sure fire way to start a 10 hour break right (by falling asleep) so where can I find practice tests and cliffs?

Hey, I'm not "dissin" ya here. But you probably should be familiar enough with the HM regs to pass the test if you are gonna have the license. Not only for YOUR safety, but for MINE as well. Not to mention everyone else around where you are haulin this stuff.

I could pass the test right now I am pretty sure. I know most everything I need to but small things like having to have your hand on the fuel nozzle at all times while pumping fuel and the different classes of explosives and so forth, I have forgotten. I can look it all up of course but if it were all in one centralized location it would make it easier for me in the limited time I have to study.

Didn't take it as a "dis", I totally understand where you are coming from but there are small things one forgets that could bite him in the cajones when he least expects it. I took the test in driving school and aced it but some of the things I was taught I am sure I have forgotten so I just want to freshen up. I never got the endorsement because I didn't want to pay for the background check twice (thanks Tx, for not taking anything from anyone else lol).

My hubby got a book for free at Ohio's BMV & read up on all the stuff before taking his written exam for his temps. I know all your info is in there & I read it with him& didn't want to fall asleep. Maybe you just need a 'study buddy' like back in high school.:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559: See two is much more fun than solo!

I used the Crist CDL site to give me a little peace of mind before taking mine. Also, some of the state sites had practice questions (sorry, I don't remember which ones I stumbled across). Good luck with it -- you'll do fine. I know having my hazmat has saved us from sitting several times.

I just coughed up the $20 too. Did the same thing for my original CDL/air brakes test. I think it's worth the investment to be honest.

Well, I used the CDL test questions and answers site to get my permit. It had all the tests on it as a package deal. There were different options for whatever tests you need, whether it's just one or the whole nine yards. I didn't take the hazmat because I don't need it, but it's on there too. I aced all my tests. It is definitely worth the investment. And their site had a money back garauntee if I didn't pass the first time. I too think it was well worth the money.

    Hello all.....

I live in Ga. About to take my hazmat endorsement test ( H ) and was talking with my uncle and he told me I had to file my application and be fingerprinted first before I could take the test.

Is this true or can I take the test then file my application and go thru fingerprinting??? Thats what I was hoping to do Thanks for any info !

Well I live in Indiana and I know that it does not matter what order you do it in here. I took my test before i did my fingerprinting.
