Straight Stacks Thanks this. -
Sure Wish I Finished Training. Ok what kind of attenna and what length?

It's a 102 whip, currently with a 7" extender under it that I borrowed from the other antenna I posted today. It should be 6", but 7 is the closest I have. 1" off is better than 6" off.

How is this thing work and hold out at 60 MPH?
darthanubis and Bout Z Thank this. -
Will find out shortly.

Oh it will last........something else may get destroyed though!
Bout Z Thanks this. -
It should work awesome!
Is there a way you can run some type of brace, maybe a couple ft up? This would at least minimize the amount of strain at the mounting points.
Maybe even a rubber bungee slid over the antenna, and pulled back tight to some where on the door, or top of the cab. Anything to raise the flex point would help imo -
For now I might try a length of PVC pipe slipped down over the shaft. A couple feet or so. Kale, of Predator (Cowtown) Antennas also makes 36" shafts that the whip will fit down into. That's an option as well. This of course would make the antenna far more tuneable.
