ask nicely and see if u can get a new trainer, if not then try to be calm an remain focused. if going somewhere else isnt an option then just keep your mind on the goal and how much better it will be when you get away from this guy, sorry to say it but you have to dumb yourself down and get along with the guy or it wont be any easier, he will prob tell you things like "well get used to it cuz this is how its gonna be when you get on your own" just let it go in one ear an out the other driver, most of the big company trainers aint worth a snot in my opinion, so try an remain calm an focused, try and focus on your driving and what you can learn from him that will be usefull, you will get through it and forget all about that bum someday. good luck driver

and if your leg is hurting from the double clutching dont worry you wont be using the clutch when u learn how to float the gears, some trainers will tell you that you have to double clutch but nobody with half a brain is gonna be using that clutch all the time, too much on the knee and joints. good luck again and if your trainer tells you somthin that your not sure about look it up or find someone that may know better, then if he is wrong just act like you agree and move on. you will prob go away from all this realizing hes not as smart as he thinks he is and your not as dumb as he thinks you are.

Thanks for the words! I'm going to see how this week goes before I start making calls. I had a talk with him about some stuff so we shall see. As for the pain in the leg it's my right leg from the way I'm sitting I guess. Not use to sitting that long lol but it's only from my "groin" area down to my knee

Call your training manager... I trained with Werner in 2001, my 1st trainer sucked, 2nd trainer rocked. Can't help the home time part though, or the breakdown... your 1st few weeks will probably only be 1000-1500 miles a week, by the end you'll be running 2500-3000. Your trainer needs to be comfortable with you before he can turn you loose to drive overnight while he sleeps. Half the time the company restricts what hours a trainee can drive until near the end of their training.

See if you can get the trainer to massage that sore leg of yours.

Keep your wallet out of your back pocket also... And stop every few hours to stretch and walk around the truck a few times. I had back pain, went to a chiropractor, turns out sitting on my wallet for 10hrs a day was making my spine bend incorrectly.

Grijon, Dominick253 and Lunchbox379 Thank this.

2000 miles in 3 weeks. That is like 666 miles a week. 95 miles a day! You should be up to 666 miles a day without complaining. Here your falling asleep, 'need attention from the trainer', missing mommy, full of ####, and double clutch is wearing the leg out at 95 miles a day on the freeway! Too bad you went all in on this, it appears it is not for you.

Situations like this get me wondering why someone would start their careee at a company that requires them to have a trainer.
