Does Millis pay trainees by the week, by the mile, or by the hour?
15000 should be done in about six or seven weeks. You are way behind schedule. If I were in your shoes I would be on the horn with Driver Development to get a new trainer. In your situation you have absolutely no vested interest in helping that trainer make money. None.
I say this from the point of view of having been a trainer for a year at Swift. I made it a point to try and only take home time BETWEEN trainees. The goal was to finish their training within a month, then get them to the nearest terminal to test out and go solo. There's absolutely no excuse for a trainer to dawdle with a trainee.
Regarding your leg pain, deal with it as soon as possible. As others have noted, having a wallet in your pocket may be part of the problem, but since you're a trainee your wallet is likely so thin it's inverted in your butt, so that's likely not the issue.
Here's some suggestions for dealing with that pain, based on my having gone through the same thing to the point I thought I would have to give up this career. Mega carriers have hard, cheap seats. That's much of the problem. I tried a couple hundred dollars of different seat pads and nothing worked, until I bought a Magic Gel seat pad. Get the one that's about 1.5" thick. Undo the zipper and customize it to your butt, and make sure you thin it out under your legs so you have circulation. I used a pair of scissors to do that. The Magic Gel cost $80, but it stopped the pain.
Second, I adjusted my seat lower, for better circulation in my legs and tilted it slightly forward. Put the back of the seat upright. Your arms should be able to hang freely, nice and loose. Never have the seat tilted back or your arms out straight.
Good luck. Ditch the trainer. If the company balks at that idea ditch the company.
Training frustration!!!!!

When i started driving in 2006, I went thru Millis training down in Cartersville GA. My trainer put me thru hell, and on mothers day weekend when i finally left, my trainer wanted me to spend the weekend, in the truck, downtown Brooklyn because he was trying to get some skirt. I called Millis and told them the situation. They called my trainer and told him that we had to continue to our delivery in Dartmouth MA. My trainer made me drive out of Brooklyn, because he was so pissed off. I had my wife pick me up before we got to the delivery. Sorry for the long post.
rachi, Lunchbox379 and Lepton1 Thank this. -
