We purchased 2 2010 Peterbilt 330's (with PX-6 engines) a year ago. One of them started having problem back in May and when the shop read the code it was low fuel pressure. Well, after 2 months the dealer ended up replacing ALL fuel system parts (pump, injectors, fuel rail, etc). Nothing of their fixes have solved the problem. According to them the entire fuel system components have been replaced and they don't know what else it can be. They got Cummins involved and now the truck is in another city at a Cummins engine repair facility trying to debug the problem. In the meantime, the other truck just went down with the same low fuel pressure code. Both trucks now are dead in the water. Is there anything else it could be? Could it possibly be a ECM issue? I'm at my wits end!

I'm currently having the same exact problem with my 2008... What did Cummins end end finding the problem to be for you???
-
Fuel shut off actuator could be the problem.
Cstevens7 Thanks this. -
Thanks! I've replaced the turbo, the fuel pump actuator, the fuel pressure sensor, and the fuel pressure relief valve. It runs good for a day or two then runs horrible... Of course when I get to the shop it runs like a champ????

The Loval Peterbilt dealership replaced the fule shut off accuator on the fuel pump like you suggested and the truck ran great for about 4 days... Now it's hesitating again for after we run it for 3-4 hours???
