That's what I was going to ask!
Hey, @SRiley77, are you sure your miles average 2,000 per week "When the traffic, weather, and schedules work out?" Seems like you should be averaging between 500 miles and 1,000 miles more per week.
Western Pennsylvania a good freight lane for TCD?

I'm leaning towards that they do more sitting as for hauling frozen chickens and turkeys compared to hauling other frozen products that don't have as much of the sitting time. I like there cpm but may be offset by the the lower miles maybe.

I think so, too. If I take Cents Per Mile times Total Weekly Miles (at the "guaranteed rate"), subtract living expenses and taxes, I'm estimating my take home pay won't be enough to take me home ($500 - $700 per week). Who can live on that?

One of the BIGGEST problem for companies retaining drivers is the uncertainty of pay.RMU91 Thanks this.

Sorry for the delay in response, been busy running.
Yes, even in good weather and clear running, the expected average is about 2,000 per week. There will be some really good weeks with some good mile runs (memphis to new jersey, green bay to dallas, green bay to atlanta, memphis to pittsburgh/new hampshire) that can really help boost miles and pay.Last edited: Mar 27, 2016

Wow only 2000 miles a week? I figured i need to do at least 2500 miles a week for this OTR to be worth it for me.

I was just accepted for TCD and am waiting to hear when my orientation will be. New England makes me excited though only because I'm from there. I'm single and just moved to Ebensburg, PA because of family property I can live on for free - there's no sense in paying rent/mortgage only to see home a few days a month.
