    I have an S6 Edge+.

Got the warranty @ $10/mo in case that fancy screen cracks.

    Sister has an S6 Edge.

    Her screen cracks.

Discovers warranty does not cover screen on these phones - At least $250 to repair.

And now this will be the last 'Edge' phone I buy.

LOL I kind of put my hand to my forehead and went,.. geeze.

    32gb of internal memory/storage.
My question is why would that be better than the S7 which with the micro SD card that can hold 512gb of storage? The reason I stayed with the Note4 was to have my 128gb SD card,.. plus the 32gb on the phone. When I want to pass photo's and video to my wife,. I put the Micro SD into an SD adaper and she puts it in her laptop,.. viola,.. just like a USB stick.

The S7 is tempting to me because of the large battery capacity. Not that the Note 4 has any real issues,.. but more is usually better for me. I'll wait to see if they o another Note phone,.. I really like using the stylus pen for signing digital copies of permits for states that need to see a signed copy. Viola,.. there you go.

I dont think he really understands the significance or dynamics of certain features. The S7 is a much better phone that the S6. They improved on what needed improving. The water resistance feature peaked my interest as well. Having dropped my first Note 4 into the toilet while shaving at a truckstop,.. I grabbed it out, took it apart and dried it out immediately. The phone still worked,. but the battery no longer would charge afterward. Went to the Verizon store,.. parked in their parking lot with my truck loaded with a grader on the back,..they tried a new battery,.. same thing. Ended up buying a new phone. I have insurance,.. but they want to send the new phone to my home address and then I'm supposed to send old phone back. A little difficult to do while out on the road.

Actually, They didn't improve on the phone. Other then the battery.

    There's an article titled. WHY I WOULDN'T BUY THE S7. i think i read it off engadget.com.

They took quite a few steps back. On specs. The internal memory only comes in 32 gigs. The camera was downgraded. The processor is slower. And i don't remember the rest. The s6 is the better phone to have other then the battery. And lack of sd slot. To which i'm not really finding that to be a hindrance anyways.

I understand more then @Hurst likes to comprehend.

internal memory is also considered a hard drive, which comes in all types these days. not just the old fashioned eide casing with spinning platters. SSD's are one of them.

Think outside the box. As in data storage.

Its a good thing you dont do tech for a living. Because you honestly do not understand.

First off.. the camera was improved. Just because the mega-pixal count is lower people who think thats what makes a good picture are wrong. Look at the pics posted here on TTR. Look at the size. Now if you are still following me.. realize that all of these pics are no more than 2 - 3 mega-pixal in size. You do not need more than 5 mega-pixal to take a good picture. Setting your camera to take the largest picture possible does NOT increase quality. Lighting will have more of an effect than anything else.

What Samsung did was to increase the size of.the photonic sensor.. (Its ability to capture more light) thus improving the quality of pictures it will take.. particularly in low light settings which is where they all struggle.

Second.. an SSD and HDD are 2 completely different things. Even though they perform the same basic function.. when you say hard disk.. people do not correlate internal storage memory and a hard disk drive as the same thing.

As for the processor.. just because its slower in mhz.. does not mean it performs less. In fact it score better in many benchmarks than the S6. So again your lack of understanding is not working for you. Based on your mindset.. your stating that a 2.2ghz Intel Core I7 is a slower and lessor processor than the old 3.2 ghz Pentium?? Far from it. Reading opinionated tech articles and not understanding the actual specs themselves leaves you in the dark. I am a tech junkie. I have a 4 yr IT degree. You are not talking with an old fart who is behind the tech curve. I follow tech with a passion.

Everything they did to the S7 is mostly an improvement. Where they left something off was done to improve battery life. So along with increased battery capacity.. it also uses much less.

As for the SD card... just because you dont have a use or need for it does not mean many others like myself dont either. In fact.. the lack of an SD slot was a deal breaker for so many people, that Samsung listened to what consumers wanted and gave it back.

The S6 is not a bad phone.. but again it seems like you follow Henry Fords mentality when it came to model T. Thats all he wanted to sell. He didnt feel people needed or wanted anything better because the model T was his baby.

Time marches on. Stay up to date and upgrade your gadgets.. or fall behind. The S7 is the next gen Samsung phone. To assume its a lessor phone than the S6 is pretty dumb.
