Been spending most my like living in an Amish paradise!

 

I like this idea. When I get back to the future, you'll all be chaining up to go over Longarm Pass.

 

As I walk through the valley where I harvest my grain
I take a look at my wife and realize she's very plain
But that's just perfect for an Amish like me
You know, I shun fancy things like electricity
At 4:30 in the morning I'm milkin' cows
Jebediah feeds the chickens and Jacob plows
And I've been milkin' and plowin' so long that
Even Ezekiel thinks that my mind is gone
I'm a man of the land, I'm into discipline
Got a Bible in my hand and a beard on my chin
But if I finish all of my chores and you finish thine
Then tonight we're gonna party like it's 1699

 

Oh... A Volvo and tracksuit free world...

I deal with the Amish on a daily basis. If nothing else, they are polite.

Haha. First no sweats and flipflops/crocs, now no track suits and unibrows. Next you'll tell me I can't be wearing my snuggy at the truck stop!

 

Some are rude live next door(about 2 miles down the road) from them never had a problem with them except for one got it all taken care of just a young kid being dumb.

Living next to the rail-lines if one wants to be near a constant supply of goods. Everyone living out in the countryside, or some place far flung from the national rail network will be back to fending for themselves. Or loading up the sedan/pickup truck for the monthly dose of supplies.

Kind of like looking at those ghost town maps and noticing how many now extinct towns there are in any particular county compared to live ones.
