Define OTR

I called 15 brokers two weeks ago in a vain attempt to get out of San Antonio on a back haul to the house ( just north of Vegas ) , best I could get was 1200 to Phoenix . This was on a Friday , late morning and I had to be back to the house by Tuesday . FED sent an offer of 2700 to go to Iowa for Monday , I was twitching as I turned it down and dead headed 1200 miles to the house . I almost got my own authority this year but it's just so rough for independents and small outfits

 

I hear you... small outfits are becoming more and more rare as trucking is taking a big turn....

 

First guy is not OTR, he's regional, OTR is 48 states, just my opinion

 

I have a friend who hails liquor from Utah to New York , the one commodity that is steady in good times and bad , drink to celebrate and to forget ha ha
