My last speeding ticket from my misspent youth was for 22 over the limit. Had to wait five years before roehl would hire me. Needless to say, speeding has never been an issue for me since.

File a motion to the court and see if they would let you take traffic school to withhold adjudication. I did it with a 21 over and a careless. Motion was granted and all was good after that.
Edit: I finally remember what I called it. "Motion to Extend Deadline for Traffic School Election". She gave me 90 days from approval to submit a certificate. All points were erased about a week after that.Last edited: Apr 1, 2016

I got a 21 mph over ticket once in an ungoverned truck on the PA turnpike. I got lucky because it was out of state and the amount over didn't show up on my home state's MVR, nor was it considered "reckless".
The company I worked for after that didn't care because it was my only ticket in the previous 3 years. They also happened to have ungoverned trucks, but I had vowed never again to do 86 in a 65 anyway.
That ticket was over a decade ago and I've been a good boy ever since.Giuseppe Ventolucci Thanks this. -
So I take it you're applying to Western Express
RedRover Thanks this. -
Im not yet applying to any companies just yet, but was wanting to know if i would be wasting my time even looking for now or if someone like cough cough Swift would take me on at this time. And just like you Bob this has been my first and last ticket.
Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
You have received some great advice in regard to that ticket. I don't see the need to repeat it. I am concerned about your lead foot. Do yourself a favor and rid yourself of that speed demon before you become a stat. Also you really need to give some serious thought about not becoming a trucker until you deal with all of this.

So after reading with has been posted both here and other similar threads on this topic here. Would it be wise to wait let's say a year before trying to apply with some companies?

We see this all the time. Your ticket (could) have been easily amended at the time with an Attorney. The Attorney makes a phone call to the prosecutor or in some cases talks to him and boom$165.00 fine $175.00 Attorney fee(fines and fees VARY) most cases never appear in court just pay the money, appears as muffler/equipment violation or a much reduced violation or even dismissed all together. You were NOT guilty when you got the ticket, we have a legal system in place so use it. Some of the Western states are harder to deal with . If you really were speeding STOP speeding..
TruckerTourist and austinmike Thank this.
