After over 30 years of pulling everything but a tanker I am now thinking why did I not do this years ago!
The new job is going well and the no waiting except for the tank to drain is unreal!
Spent one night in the truck all week and made more per week than my last 2 OTR jobs!
Home on Friday morning and off for the weekend!!
Should have joined you tanker yankers years ago!
Our product is super messy like stringy tar but I can deal with that....
It is nice to pull into a place and they are GLAD to see you!.......and I unload as fast as I can hook the hose up and put some air pressure to the tank...5200 gallons is our max load and about an hour to pump it off.
Loving this new tanker gig!

Hi EZ, see? Tanker yanker is the way to go. The only downside, is nasty stuff goes into tankers ( sometimes, the nastiest) But keep your wits about you, don't turn your back for a minute, and you'll be fine.

Thanks everyone!
Yep,So far so good and the Company is awesome to work for.
They even stock my truck with supplies and fill the cooler with stuff to drink.
This deadheading back every trip is great too...
All dedicated customers that rotate orders every 3 weeks or so.
They think nothing of a 600 mile deadhead...so cool!
I get paid either way so that works for me.
Monday is running the trailer to the tire shop and getting the truck serviced.
I get paid the same if I have a load or not with a minimum pay deal we have.
It feels strange being the only full time driver they have,But it sure has it's perks.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
So the tanks are filled before you get to them?
Always wondered how long it'd take to fill a tanker and if the drivers sit in the cab and wait or what.EZ Money Thanks this. -
Congratulations on the new job and welcome to the tanker yankers club!
EZ Money Thanks this. -
Yes,Trailer loaded and BOL on the front seat.....About an hour to 90 minutes to unload because they have a couple different mixtures that are thicker than others. We haul a max of 5200 gallons.
Thanks Driver!.....Loving it for sure!CasanovaCruiser Thanks this.
