Apparently you didn't read the post I quoted, were the OP stated, "Illinois is one of those states that will crucify a driver over seat belt enforcement."
Anyway, if you think that automobile deaths, deaths that could have been prevented by a seatbelt, have no affect on our insurance rates, you are clueless.
The general public shouldn't have to pay out of their pocket for another person's complacency.
Families shouldn't have to morn and sacrifice because of a loved one's complacency either.
Cheers.
Me??!!....Fired??!!!!

In Illinois when I was living there ( if they haven't increased the fines since then) it was $75 for a 1st time offense. 2nd or 3rd time they could give you a mandatory court appearance, where a judge would determine any further sanctions against your license(including suspension or revocation).

" Thumbs up to the company" Real compassionate driver. He may have a little girl looking forward to her 5 year old birthday party that may need to be put off due to Daddy hunting an income. This industry is really coming up with some trucker mag reading bitter guys . Mistakes and situations do happen. Just be careful. unless you only have a few days or weeks behind the wheel of one of these big ol super dangerous and very hard to operate giant machines.
