I'm not sure. It was definitely my fault, should've seen that chunk of wood in the dirt, I was watching my mirrors. If it's gonna hit my record id rather just see if they'll let me buff it out on my own first.

I really don't think they want to give you a preventable over that. It counts against them as well regarding the CSA score. Maybe when you are parked at a truck stop at the right time, you could pay a local detail shop to make a house call with some 1000 grit sandpaper and a buffer with some compound??? It would be worth a $100 dollar bill to not have it on your DAC.

    CasanovaCruiser Thanks this.

Well, It all worked out today with some of the other documentation I had. I am supposed to get a truck tomorrow, then a load to Cedar Rapids to meet my DM.

    You reported THAT???

There's no way I'd have ever reported under bumper scratches. That part of the truck rides 6-12 inches off the pavement. It's going to get scratched just from stones and other crap bouncing up, down, and all around off the road...lol. Now if it would have BROKEN the bumper, then I'd have reported it, but from what I see, I doubt anyone would even give those scratches a second thought.

I mentioned it thinking it wasn't a big deal like oh yeah delivery went well but my tire kicked a piece of wood up, truck got its first couple of scratches. Then it turned into an accident. Mother ####er.

That's ridiculous, how can a road hazard that causes a couple scratches under the tractor be considered an accident?

I wouldn't fill out any accident reports until they've seen it and absolutely want to charge you with that damage. Explaining what happened just digs your own grave. I'm sure you can look around their yard and point out numerous dings, scratches and minor scuffs that they couldn't tell you a thing about because no one has ever given them a second look.
