One beam is a good start. All 6 or 7 of them had decreasing amounts of damage, but the first couple are toast.

Well, here's what I know for now. Nobody injured, local driver (small family company, nobody is saying a name) and 300 hours on the machine. The stories floating around say the driver claims to have measured the load at 17' 6". I personally don't buy that, I think he just eyeballed it and called it good. I guess time will tell.

In the state of Kansas legal height is 14' & I believe on a lot of divided highways if the overpass is 16' or higher they don't mark it. Not 100% sure on my numbers but I think that's what I remember hearing years ago. I guess they figure if your over 16' that's why they put height poles on escorts & its up to you not screw up.
