I'll take LA over NYC any day. If you drive in Chicago or Atlanta you won't have a problem in California. The good thing about LA is there's lots of pretty ladies cruising around in little sports cars.

The 4wheelers are not afraid of the big trucks...they will cut YOU off and try to run YOU a big rig off the road lol.
Also most trucks I've seen are doing 60mph in Cali. I've personally gotten away doing 60 mph all the time in Cali. At your own risk however...CluelessRoadie Thanks this. -
Look at every place around your drop\pickup. If your in city of industry don't stay in town. Find a spot before you enter the city of LA.
If you need to sit in the dock if you can during rush hour. It will save you drama. You will make it to the same place minus the crawl in 2mph traffic.
Look for alternatives in your routes in case of closure due to accidents.
Keep calm, road rage is easy in LACluelessRoadie and akfisher Thank this. -
Yes, LA traffic sucks.
11pm-5am and 10am-2pm are good. The rest, will seem like 2 hours to travel 20 miles.Diesel Dave and CluelessRoadie Thank this. -
Life just got easier if you travel the 91
Construction from the 60 westbound to the 91 westbound is complete all lanes were open today -
I lived in S. Ca. most of my life. So traffic is no biggie. Just annoying. Comparing to other major cities, L.A. ain't bad. No low overpasses, always an alternative to your route ( as in 60 fwy VS. 10 Fwy) or, 605 VS. 710. Only Fwy where no trucks allowed is Pasadena no. of downtown. Lanes are wide, lack of truck stops requires planning. Different cities have different rules. (for street parking) No scales except for w/b 91 Weir cyn Anaheim Hills and 405 Fwy and Harbor Fwy. (not sure if they're even still open). AM 1070 radio has 24/7 traffic reports. They've saved me plenty of times.
Diesel Dave, CluelessRoadie and Bakerman Thank this.
