Completed training and passed my Pretrip. Just need to rent a truck for my Road Skills test. I can test anywhere in Virginia, but prefer the DMV in Chester. Don't need any training -- only requirement is I would like to practice driving the truck (10-speed) an hour before my exam. Please advise.

Post up on craiglist... I know where I live there are a lot of guys that have old day cabs pulling a 28ft trailer, you pay them 500$ and you "drive till you pass".

I know that in 2010 the testing arm of Drivers Solutions in Indianapolis had trucks you could test in. I am not sure about Virginia but you might want to at least check it out..

Shippers Choice is literally on the same property of the Chester test site, I'd call them and ask them if they'd do that. You have money and their all about making it. I went there and they were more than happy to work with people on different things they needed, money or otherwise. The route they use in Chester will have you take a right back on to Route 10 from Rivers Bend on your way back to the test site. That right is where they fail most people out of chester. Don't take out the curb, if your not 1cm off your left solid line your trailer will eat the curb on your rt side. Keep us up to date.
