No what I was stating was the driver had been mentioning they've been having payroll problems well if that's the case I wouldn't put myself available for any kind of offerings whatsoever until that money was in the bank account Point Blank

The payroll problems didn't just start either. That has been going on for some time.

I'm sure being responsible for a lease payment kind of put pressure on the guy to run and try to work out things on the fly. If he had a paid off truck he'd have more ability to just sit.
-
If you're trying to be an owner operator or lease operator and you're struggling to make it week to week and literally cannot go a week without funds or you'll go under then frankly you shouldn't be in business to begin with... And I'm talking about this in generalBoostedTeg, windsmith, Lone Ranger 13 and 7 others Thank this.

That's true, but the guy stated its been going on for two months, not a couple weeks. That's a lot of missing revenue if it's true.
Not that I totally believe the guy, but the owners representation in this thread raises a lot of red flags -
But see that's where he screwed up... The first time a company doesn't pay me I don't turn my ignition key until I get paid... I've had that happen with knight they didn't pay me so therefore I sent them a message that I wasn't starting my truck up until the money was in my bank account they didn't think I was going to be doing it but I stood my ground until that money was in my bank account... That's what he should have done he shouldn't let it go on for 2 months that's where he screwed upmxpx148 and HopeOverMope Thank this.

I agree, but I'm guessing he had faith in the company!
-
Don't have faith, don't believe in good will, never bet on the come, the first minute of knowing you didn't get paid on the usual day and time, hit the road immediately. Chalk it up, get another job asap and assume you'll never see that money. If you're that tight, that that one settlement breaks you, they probably did you a favor.
HDFatboy Thanks this. -
