engine brake bacame very weak

    Volvo 2007 with ISX 500 horse power.
    I like the power of the engine brake on that motor,but month ago start feeling that it became weaker.
    Well this week i drove I 77 north WV and VA ,o Lord what a nightmare 42000 pounds and only 20 or 30% of the engine brake.
    What is happened?

    Have the overhead run. They can come out of adjustments just like the valves.

    is that expensive?I had same problem 4 year ago,and they changed rokers/not sure for spelling/,and was good,well for four years.

    $350 for an ISX to run the head most places. so no not really too expensive

    Under the valve cover. There are 2 one forward and one back.

    OP, you wanna say that nobody opened the valve cover in four years? No wonder things become expensive. You're way behind in PM.
    I don't know the interval on Cummins, but CAT recommends two years or if you hear something. I do mine every 1 1/2 years.
